56. High Tea at Sunset
Hello to all you lovely people at CFC/FOM!
It’s Friday and that means we all get a teatime treat! Today’s story is just that – a first class high tea.
Mandira Moitra Sarkar, a ‘chai ka baby’ tells us that she is “one of those few people whose grandfather was in tea and whose parents were actually married in tea”. She recreates the magic of teatime and of those timeless evenings in the tea gardens in this delightful story. And there’s more: Mandira has shared two special recipes of her own teatime favourites!
So what are you waiting for? Go put the kettle on and enjoy your read with your favourite brew.
I’ll be back next Friday with more – yeh vaada raha!
Cheers to the spirit of Indian tea!

Indian Chai Stories
This segment is a result of our fruitful collaboration with Indian Chai Stories, a blog by Gowri Mohanakrishnan, a planter’s wife who’s been writing tea stories for many years and is also an active supporter of Chai for Cancer
Her stories come straight from the tea gardens of India and are best enjoyed with a cup of garam chai.
