62. Shobha the Bison
Hello, all you lovely people at CFC/FOM! Last week’s story by Gumi Malhotra brought in the summer holidays – time for travel, as well as time to stay indoors and away from the harsh sun. And time for family.
Today’s post makes me think of families. I got this lovely story by Norman Wood from his sister Noreen, who mentioned that there were three generations of tea planters in their family! If you have young ones at home, they will enjoy hearing about Shobha the bison and her tea garden sojourn!
Off we go then, to Kadamane and then to Mysore! Do get yourself a cup of tea – remember, it helps to beat the heat and keeps you hydrated.
Cheers to the wonderful spirit of Indian tea! I will be back next Friday with another tea-time tale for all of you. Yeh vaada raha!

Indian Chai Stories
This segment is a result of our fruitful collaboration with Indian Chai Stories, a blog by Gowri Mohanakrishnan, a planter’s wife who’s been writing tea stories for many years and is also an active supporter of Chai for Cancer
Her stories come straight from the tea gardens of India and are best enjoyed with a cup of garam chai.
