Chai for Cancer is in its Eighth Year now!

This year our campaign’s tagline is “Ek Chai Zindagi ke Naam”.

As the pandemic continues to rage and the country stumbles towards another lockdown, cancer patients will be hit harder than anyone else.

Although it is a respiratory disease, which means the coronavirus mostly affects the lungs, the heart has to work extra hard to make up for the decreased lung capacity in pumping oxygen-rich blood throughout the body. Cancer patients, being already immunocompromised, are at a slightly higher risk than the average person.

Chances of organ-related complications increase when a cancer patient who has undergone radiation therapy or chemotherapy, develops a coronavirus infection. The situation gets even worse when we talk about aged patients and survivors.

All the more reason to support initiatives like Chai for Cancer and host a Chai for Cancer Adda.

A Chai for Cancer Adda creates an atmosphere of an extended family which fulfils the important need of understanding the struggle of cancer patients through their perspective.

Every last paisa of the funds raised through the Chai for Cancer campaign, goes towards covering the patients’ diagnostics costs, travel costs and their children’s education cost.

So now, the only question that remains is-

Will you join us again in helping cancer patients in need?
