Red FM’s Adda, Mumbai 2022

The Red FM Mumbai team hosted their annual Chai for Cancer Adda at their studios on 10th June. This was the sixth Adda that the radio station has hosted and the first one since the pandemic had put a stop to such gatherings. 

The Red FM team, which had been promoting the Adda on-air all of last week, had invited their fans and long-time listeners to their studio to attend the awareness-cum-fundraising event. The promotions also included an interview of Viji Venkatesh with Red FM’s RJ Jman.

The excited fans listened with rapt attention as Viji Venkatesh spoke to them about The Max Foundation’s work with CML & GIST patients in India and the important role played by Chai for Cancer in ensuring compliance among patients from weaker socio-economic backgrounds.

Friends of Max’s City Chapter Leader Suresh Pawar inspired the crowd by sharing his own history with CML and the kind of support received from The Max Foundation and Friends of Max that enabled him to reach his best potential.  Also joining us were Red FM’s RJs Yamini, J Man and Akriti who each spoke about their association with Chai for Cancer and urged their fans to donate to our cause. The fans were thrilled to see RJ J Man perform a verse from a rap song that inspired him. The entire team of Red FM Mumbai, including their directors, producers, technicians and RJs visited the CFC stall to check out our merchandise and raise their cups to our cause!
