Every year, Chai for Cancer organizes two Addas at Delhi – one at the Lodhi Gardens and the other at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre. The latter is hosted by the RGCI team who were once again eager to do so especially after the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to this annual tradition. A Tale With A Happy Ending
Two decades ago a little girl named Bhavani lay on a hospital bed in Mumbai surrounded by her ashen-faced parents. She was weeping and imploring them to take her home. She had been diagnosed with cancer. Fortuitously, the twin-share room had another patient. And beside that patient was a certain Viji Venkatesh.
