Tiya Thakur’s Campaign
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Tiya Thakur of Mumbai, Maharashta, who led a Chai for Cancer campaign to create awareness and raise funds for cancer patients in need. As part of her efforts, Tiya urged her family and friends to share their Chaifies on social media, donate generously towards our cause and even hosted a Virtual Chai Adda on 2nd October to honour her mother – Dr Manisha Sen, whom she lost to cancer a few years ago on this day.
The Virtual Adda was organized on the Zoom platform with friends, family and colleagues of Tiya Thakur and the late Dr Sen joining in from India and abroad. They celebrated the life of Dr Sen, shared anecdotes, reminisced their favourite memories and paid tribute to her work.
And in the midst of it all was Chai for Cancer – a noble cause to celebrate the life of a noble soul. Tiya and her friends have helped us get closer to our goal of raising ₹50 lakhs for cancer patients in need. Their generous contribution will go a long way in helping patients from financially weak backgrounds to live a life of dignity and hope.
