64. Margaret’s Hope – A Darjeeling Legend
Hello, all you lovely people at CFC/FOM!
It is so good to revisit a story like the one that I am sharing with you today. For me, the name ‘Margaret’s Hope’ brings back memories of a very dear friend who spent many years there. I also remember seeing glimpses of the place from my flat in the plains through the clouds that floated around the Darjeeling hills immediately after a thundershower. Those days, it always rained in Darjeeling.
This story is about a legend that may well leave you with a deep sense of yearning. Do get a comforting cup of tea before you let yourself wander about in the world of Aditi’s story.
I’ll be back next Friday with another teatime ramble – yeh vaada raha!
Cheers to the spirit of Indian tea, the best beverage for any season.

Indian Chai Stories
This segment is a result of our fruitful collaboration with Indian Chai Stories, a blog by Gowri Mohanakrishnan, a planter’s wife who’s been writing tea stories for many years and is also an active supporter of Chai for Cancer
Her stories come straight from the tea gardens of India and are best enjoyed with a cup of garam chai.
