Indore, 27th October 2024
Together we made a difference!
Recently concluded Chai for Cancer Adda was hosted by Friends of Max City Chapter Leader Manoj Dhanotiya, in collaboration with MicroMitti and Round Table India 297, on 27th October.
The day also featured a full-day blood cancer awareness event in Indore.
Supported by Viji Venkatesh who was present the full day, raising awareness for patients and their families living with CML and on lifelong treatment.
Standing by her side were Friends of Max Trustees Amruta Patidar, and City Chapter Leaders. The event brought together people united in their dedication to ensuring cancer patients receive the support they deserve and live a life of hope and dignity.
Here’s a recap of the eventful day:
1. Bike Awareness Ride — At 6:30am the bike rally was flagged off by Viji Venkatesh and Manoj Dhanotiya at 6:30am. The riders made stops at Coffee Concept, Chai Kaapi, and Javik Setu, to spreading cancer awareness and raising their cups with the morning crowd.
2. Lively Flashmob at C21 Mall — a burst of energy filled the mall as young, talented artists from Anvaratt Theatre Group performed! Through skits, they highlighted the stigma cancer patients face and emphasized the support a community can offer to families impacted by cancer.
3. Chai for Cancer Adda at Sajan Prabha — starting at 4 PM, we gathered at the beautiful outdoor venue to share stories, enjoy delicious food, and most importantly, raise funds to support cancer patients and their families. As Manoj Dhanotiya expressed, “It’s challenging these days to engage Gen Z & Gen Alpha in community causes due to lifestyle preferences. That’s exactly why we need to do it more — to preserve the legacy of caring for one another, built over the past two decades.”
A heartfelt thank you to Manoj Dhanotiya, MicroMitti and Round Table India for their hard work in organizing and making the event a success.
Our gratitude extends to the Friends of Max Trustees, Indore City Chapter Leaders, and Anshika Tandon from The Max Foundation team for taking the time to join us at the Adda.
We also thank our Radio Partners, Red FM 93.5, for amplifying the message of Chai for Cancer to thousands of households across Indore.
And to the wonderful people of Indore — thank you for raising your cups with us and drinking to the cause! Together we raised over 1800 cups of chai!
