Musical Adda with Pranay Ranjan and B-Reloaded
Pranay Ranjan and the B-Reloaded band hosted their first Musical Adda for Chai for Cancer Season 8 on 27th June 2021. This Adda was organized Virtually on the Zoom platform, and was hosted in association with Banana Boat Network. It was also supported by our Radio Partners Red FM, who promoted the event on-air in Bengaluru.
We say “Musical Adda”, but it was really a full-fledged concert by all means and measures. The hosts – B-Reloaded band – dedicated this event to the celebration of the great Indian musician R. D. Burman’s 82nd Birth Anniversary.
The evening began with FOM City Chapter Leader Pranay Ranjan, welcoming the guests as they quickly grew from 40 to almost 70, and introduced the concept of the Adda. The mic was then passed on to Viji Venkatesh, who informed the guests about Chai for Cancer and the need to support cancer patients in our individual capacities in these difficult times.

The evening also saw performances from our guests Ashima Ranjan and Benzy, and some spur-of-the-moment solo and duet songs from the audience members, as Subbu conducted his “Pancham da”- themed quiz. The founder of Banana Boat Network, and long-time supporter of Chai for Cancer, Sucheta Shekhar, was also present for the event and had some wonderful words about her association with our cause.
The evening ended with a power-packed medley from Subbu, followed by all the audience and hosts together raising their cups for Chai for Cancer!
