Thane, 9th July
Inspired by the simple thought that one can make a difference in the lives of those in need of support by simply calling over friends and family over for a cup of Chai, the Vijayakars of Thane – Bobbie, Suman and their daughters Urmin and Simrin – hosted a Chai for Cancer Adda at their welcoming home. Urmin and Simrin served steaming cups of chai and hot samosas while there was an umbrella painting session in progress along with origami lessons resulting in colourful “topis”. The special Chai for Cancer umbrella is to be auctioned. In the midst of all this Atul Mishra regaled everyone with his energetic singing! Neighbours too joined in and drank to a cause and donated from their hearts.
